Dexter Johnson

November 13, 1958 — June 12, 2018

Dexter Johnson was born to the parentage of George Johnson and Willie Mae McMillion on November 13, 1958, in Dallas, Texas. He was educated in DISD where he attended H.S. Thompson, Charles Rice, Pearl C. Anderson, and Lincoln High School, graduating class of 1977. He was married to Paula Ramsey Johnson, and to this union one child was born. Later he met Sharron Greer and a child was born. He was in the United States Army from 1978 to 1983 then finished out with the National Guard. He worked for DISD, Headstart, Baylor Bowling and Billiard, and the City of Dallas, where he retired due to his health.

His parents and three brothers preceded him in death, George Johnson, James Harper and Vernell Harper.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Paula Johnson; sons, Dexter Johnson, Jr. and Brandon Greer; daughter, April Greer; stepdaughter, Ashley Chatmon; long time girlfriend, Quiana Oaks; grandchildren, Janiya Johnson, Destiny Johnson, Savannah Ricks and Ashunti Brown; two sisters, Brenda Harper and Della Elaine Gillyard; three aunts, Bretha
McFarland, Shirley Franklin and Ophelia McMillion; and a host of relatives and friends.
