LAKEISHA FRANCIS

December 27, 1973 — June 16, 2018

The “Curtain of Life” opened for Lakeisha Francis on December 27, 1973, in Dallas, Texas, to mother Darlene Francis and active fathers Stevie Richardson and Reginald Harge. She was the older sister to Tempestt Davis, mother to Keyoisha Harris, and grandmother to Reginald Nervis and Kylie’rae Starr Crook.

Lakeisha received her formal education from the Dallas Public Schools. Through her life’s journey, she discovered that she had a passion to help people. This lead her on to becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant, which very  rewarding for her spirit and her “ huge heart”. She was introduced to Christ at an early age. Her Christian foundation was built on the shoulders of great-grandparents, Archie & Viola Francis, Mary Lee Skief, grandparents, Albert & Laura Francis, mother, Darlene Francis and a host of aunts & uncles. She knew how important Jesus Christ was for her life, that she re-dedicated her life several years ago. She was a faithful member of Avenue Progressive Baptist Church, Dallas, Texas, where she served as a devoted servant until her Lord called her to rest. She strived to be a vessel to display the goodness of Jesus Christ to her daughter and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by grandparents, Albert & Laura Francis.

As the “Curtain Of Life” closed for Lakeisha Francis, she leaves to cherish her memories: mother, Darlene Francis, daughter, Keyoisha Harris, grandchildren, Reginald Nervis & Kylie’rae Starr Crook, sister, Tempestt Davis, three aunts, Mary Allen, Helen Nelson, Matilda Valentine, three uncles, Gary Skief, Albert Francis, Jr, Charles Earl Francis; one nephew, Titan “Chocolate” Davis; one niece, Tayuna Davis and hosts of great aunts & uncles, cousins and friends.
