TENNEILL TERRELL

April 18, 1976 — September 16, 2019

On April 18, 1976, a beautiful baby girl, Tenneill Rashetta Terrell, was welcomed into this world by her parents, Leonard and Rita Terrell, and big sister, Rachel in Dallas, TX. She would also become a big sister to Chantel in 1980. Tenneill was born head strong, independent, and a leader. She was the fashion diva of the bunch and always had to have her earrings. She was known as “Big T” and “T-Lee” by her uncles and big cousins.

Tenneill matriculated through schools in the Dallas Independent School District – Lida Hooe Elementary, Thomas Edison Middle School and Sunset High School. While at Sunset she participated in basketball, soccer and was a Lieutenant on the Bisonettes Drill Team. Tenneill graduated from Sunset in 1994 as class Salutatorian. She went on to study business and accounting at Texas Christian University where she graduated with her bachelor’s in business in 1998. While at TCU, she pledged and was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Iota Eta chapter. She was apart of the Fall 1995 "Black Pearls" line.

After graduating from TCU she was employed by GSA (General Services Administration) in Ft. Worth. She also spent time with Fannie Mae in Washington, D.C. and most recently as an auditor for Price Waterhouse Coopers, LLC in Houston, TX.

Tenneill earned the title of mother with the birth of her daughter, Sydney Monet Maner, on July 30, 2003. Sydney brought joy and life to her and our family. Sydney is currently a Junior at DeSoto High School where she is plays the French Horn in the DeSoto Eagles band and is also enrolled in the Early College High School. Tenneill added to her family on December 23, 2011, when Paul Nasir Marrero was born. Paul is in the 2nd grade at The Meadows Elementary in Desoto and enjoys playing with cars and has earned his blue belt in karate. Tenneill blessed us with two wonderful gifts and loved her children with her whole heart.

Tenneill accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized by Rev. R.T. Conley at New Waverly Baptist Church in Dallas, TX. She grew up singing in the Youth Choir, attending Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and participating in special programs. She loved to serve God’s people and would often volunteer her time at local outreach events.

She was greeted by family members who preceded her in death: grandparents-Jack and Robbie Sims and El Norman and Bertha Terrell.
