Alan Larrell Venters 60 years of age, passed away suddenly on Friday, April 16, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White Heart Hospital.
Alan affectionately known as “Larrell” was born on August 17, 1960 in Dallas, Texas to the late Weldon L Venters, Sr and Thelma McDade Venters. He was the youngest of seven children. Alan was educated in the Dallas Independent School District. He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in 1978.
At an early age Alan affectionately known as “Larrell” accepted Christ and united with the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church under the pastorage of the late Reverend William McDade. As a youth he served on the Usher board, worked with the Youth Department and was active in Sunday School and BTU-Baptist Training Union.
Alan also known as Big Al to his friends had a love for vintage cars and trucks. Big Al was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy's Fan and would spend Sunday's cheering them on from the sofa or the stadium with the love of his life Amelia right beside him.
Alan leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 37 years, Amelia Raphael and daughter Paula Raphael; four sisters; Louise Alexander (Rupert), Barbara Venters-Washington, Patricia Venters-Kirby, and Vicki Edley (Derick); two brothers, Reverend Weldon L Venters Jr and Kenneth Venters; two Aunts Mrs. Shirley McDade Martin and Ms. Annie Adger; Brother-in-law, Henry Franklin (Violet) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
