ALEXANDER BERNARD JORDAN

January 8, 1982 — November 30, 2023

Alexander Bernard Jordan, known affectionately as "Porky," passed away on November 30, 2023, in Durham, NC, at the age of 41. He was born on January 8, 1982, in Dallas, Texas. Alexander will be remembered for his love of music, his talent as a writer of music and spoken word. He was a true artist at heart.

From an early age, Alexander showed a deep passion for music and literature. His career revolved around his love for both. He dedicated countless hours to perfecting his craft and creating beautiful melodies that touched the souls of those who listened. His tongue-twisted rap lyrics were a testament to his creativity and unique style.

Alexander's educational journey began at H.S Thompson Elementary School before progressing to Pearl C. Anderson Middle School and finally graduating from Lincoln High School. However, it wasn't just traditional education that shaped him; he also attended Welding School where he acquired valuable skills.

In addition to his musical pursuits, Alexander had a wide range of hobbies and interests including reading, rapping, and writing music. These activities fueled his artistic spirit and allowed him to express himself fully.

One of Alexander's proudest accomplishments was completing his education. He worked diligently to obtain certifications to become proud  owner of Skware Biznezz Records, showcasing his dedication to his chosen path.  He was a member of the Rhoads Terrace Bible Fellowship Church under the leadership of Pastor, E.D. Charles.

Beyond his career achievements, Alexander cherished the love and support of his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of deep connections with those who knew him best. 

He is preceded in death by  his mother Lealtus Jordan Paul; father Phillip Johnson; grandmothers Pearl Jordan and Louise Johnson; grandfather Manual Oudems; stepfather Alfred Paul;

He is survived by:  sisters Chelesa Carter, Lisa Davis, and Tammy Davis; brother Phillip Johnson Jr.; daughter Aliyana Sarie Jordan; son Draven Alexander Jordan; nephews Deandre Bullard and Laderrick Carter; uncle Jeffrey Jordan (Tonya) and William Jordan; aunts,  Allison Jordan and Gail McMillan Jordan, as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Their memories of Alexander will forever hold his vibrant spirit close to their hearts.

Thoughtful and caring, Alexander was known for his kindheartedness and ability to find joy in the simplest of things. He had a mischievous side that brought laughter to those around him. Always willing to lend an ear or offer sage advice, he was a true friend who touched the lives of many.

Among the cherished memories held by those who knew him, there's the unforgettable incident when Chelesa thought he had kidnapped her baby. The fact that he jumped two flights of stairs to tell his uncle Jeffery that Tonya was in labor speaks volumes about his selflessness and loyalty.


Alexander Bernard Jordan may no longer be with us physically, but his music and words will continue to resonate with those who were fortunate enough to witness his talent. His memory will live on through the melodies he composed and the impact he made on the lives of others. As we reflect upon his life with both sorrow and gratitude, let us celebrate Alexander's legacy and find solace in knowing that he left an indelible mark upon this world through his artistry.
