Andre Williams Jr, affectionately known as “Duke,” passed away on September 17, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. He was born on January 21, 1979, in Memphis, Tennessee, and lived a life marked by love, strength, generosity, and unmistakable style.
Andre was a graduate of MacArthur High School in Irving, Texas, Class of 1994. He went on to work as a food manager in food service, building a career through dedication and steady leadership. He was known as someone who took charge and looked after those around him, carrying himself with both confidence and care.
Those who knew Andre will remember a man of big presence and warm spirit. He was loving, funny, kind, sweet, and caring, with a generous heart that gave freely to others. He could also be stubborn, a protector by nature, and someone people could count on. Andre was very fashionable, bringing his own sense of style wherever he went. He found joy in gaming, listening to music, working on and cleaning his car, and admiring antique cars. He was also a true foodie who enjoyed going out to eat and savoring good meals. Above all, his proudest accomplishment was his children, who were at the center of his heart and his life.
Andre leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Curtrenna Williams, and son Andre Williams Jr III, daughter Alexus Williams (their mother, Melanie) , stepdaughters Cidnee Duren and Amaya Duren-Lee, and grandchild Nevaeh Williams. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Rogers; his father, Andre Rogers; his brothers George Hooks III and Anthony J. Colbert (Kristie); his sisters Tracie D. Rogers and Margaret Rogers(Raphael); his aunt, Lula Mae Thompson; his mother-in-law, Lanetta Smith; and his father-in-law, Curtis Duren. May the love he gave them remain a steady comfort, and may his memory continue to live in the lives he touched so deeply.
He was preceded in death by his son, Krystopher Williams; his brother, Dale Rogers; his grandmother, Cassie Thompson; his grandfather, Elroy Thompson; his uncle, Elroy Thompson, Jr; and his aunt, Cassie Thompson.
