ANDREA MICHELLE BUNTON

Andrea Michelle Bunton, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2026, in Dallas. She was born on February 21, 1968, in Dallas, a city that remained the setting of her life from beginning to end.

Andrea will be remembered as a sweet and kind woman who also carried a stern strength when it was needed. She was protective of those she loved, resilient through life’s demands, a jokester who could bring warmth to a room, and a hard worker whose lovable spirit left a lasting impression. She was, in every sense, both tender and strong.

She attended Fannie C. Harris as her first school and later John B. Hood Middle School. In her younger years, she ran track in elementary school, showing early energy and determination. She went on to work as a chef, a role that reflected both her skill and her love of cooking. Beyond the kitchen, Andrea found joy in collecting perfume, listening to music, and cheering on the Dallas Cowboys.

Among the memories held closest is that Andrea was a daddy’s girl, a bond that remained part of how she was known and loved. She was also a big sister to her two brothers, carrying that role with presence and care.

Andrea’s life was deeply rooted in family. She leaves behind her daughters, Nikeil Bunton, Denetra Bunton, Kayla Slone, and Shayla Johnson (Nucleus), who formed the heart of her family circle. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles Muhammad (Felicia) and James Bunton. Her love continues through her grandchildren, Keanyah Anderson, Braylon Williams, Noah Johnson, Ezra Johnson, and Micah Johnson. In each of them, her strength, humor, and devotion will be remembered and carried forward.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Bunton Sr., and her mother, Mary Ann Bunton. Their memory remained part of her story throughout her life.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a viewing on September 23, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and wake 6:00 pm- 7:00 pm at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75224. Funeral service will be held on September 24, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-allene, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75224.

Andrea Michelle Bunton will be remembered with love for her steady heart, her humor, her fierce care for family, and the everyday joys she made her own. Her memory will remain a blessing to those who knew her and loved her.
