Ann Galloway, born Annie Lee Ridgway September 3, 1948 to Cotra and Zeola Ridgway. One of nine siblings, a graduate of George Washington High School in Los Angeles, California, and a retiree of Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services. She was a true follower of Christ and a great example of loving God and loving people.
Elect Lady Galloway dedicated her life to care and service, not only to less fortunate children and families as a career, but that same love extended even more to her family, the household of faith and to all she had the opportunity to show the love of God.
Elect Lady Galloway was introduced to the Sabbath by her coworker, who later became her pastor, Bishop James Wallace III. She continued in the church under Elect Lady Juanita Eaves, and then Bishop Harry Eaves until relocating. While serving in the church in Los Angeles, because of her care and concern for others, she became known as Mama Ann to many. She always had a special love for young people, as she would always have gatherings at her house in Los Angeles filled with fun, food, laughter and a listening ear when needed (and yes, they loved her just as much!).
After moving to Lewisville, Texas in 2011 to be with her daughter and family, she attended Cornerstone House of God under the leadership of Bishop Ronald Warren, Sr., and currently under Pastor, Evangelist Sandra Cobb. Elect Lady Galloway continued her love and concern for people and was recognized as one of the Church Mothers of Cornerstone House of God. She would randomly call and text during the day just to say “Hi, how are you, I’m praying for you”. If asked, anyone would tell you, she was a great friend and that her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. A faithful member and a dedicated worker in the church, she served as a cook, treasurer, Feast Day decorator, Sabbath school teacher, in charge of the youth nurses, and in many other capacities as needed. Those were the things that were close to her heart; to love God and serve Him with gladness, to care for people and pray about everything.
Elect Lady Galloway battled multiple myeloma for many years, nevertheless, nothing stopped her work for the Lord. Her work for the church and attendance never ceased. She always wanted to be involved. Through the ups and downs of her sickness she never complained. She endured till the end with grace and continued faith in God. She fought a good fight, finished her course and kept the faith.
Many good things to say and memories to be shared about Elect Lady Galloway, including her great style and love for shopping (especially dressing her grandchildren). She was also fun, loving and loved you enough to tell you the truth. But most importantly she was a woman of God, loved the Word of God and was strong in faith. One of her favorite scriptures was Hebrews 11 (vs 1 Now faith…). The Lord blessed her to experience so much joy in life, along with many difficult times, but through it all, by God’s amazing grace, she kept the faith, a kind word, and a beautiful smile.
On Tuesday, April 14, 2026, Elect Lady Ann Galloway left her beloved family, and now awaits the return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
