Born on September 8, 1941, in Dallas, Annie dedicated her life to her family and her community, leaving an indelible mark through her work and her vibrant personality.
Annie was a familiar face in the community, having spent years as a bus driver for Dallas County School District (DISD) and for True Lee MBC and later in the technology sector with Texas Instruments. Her career was defined not only by her professional achievements but by the relationships she built along the way. As a retail salesperson, Annie was known for her directness and her innate ability to connect with people, making friends wherever she went.
Those who were fortunate enough to know Annie would describe her as a person with a big personality and a kind heart. She was known for her bossy nature, often taking charge of situations, making her presence felt, and ensuring that things ran smoothly. With her genuine and supportive spirit, she had a knack for encouraging others to be their best selves. Annie was not afraid to speak her mind, always direct yet warm, earning the admiration and affection of those around her.
An enthusiastic participant in community activities, Annie loved to frequent the MLK Senior Center, where she engaged in various activities, showcasing her lively and outgoing nature. However, above all her accomplishments, Annie took the greatest pride in her family, especially her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and were the center of her universe.
Annie's journey in life has now come to a close, but her legacy of kindness and determination will continue to inspire those she leaves behind. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Annie's life during the visitation on September 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service will be held the following day, September 20, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM at True Lee M.B.C. in Dallas, concluding her remarkable journey with respect and honor.
