Annie Mae Brown Holmes was born on May 15, 1949 in Oakwood, Texas. She was the third of six children born to the parentage of Renard and Annie Zora Smith Brown. She was affectionately known to her family and friends as “Mae” and “Ann.”
Annie grew up in Dallas and was educated in the Dallas Independent School District. She attended C.F. Carr Elementary School, Sequoyah Middle School and L.G. Pinkston High School.
She was united in marriage to the late Eugene Louis Webb on September 17, 1966. To this union, three children were born: LaShell Ann, Louis Bernard and Eugene Louis Jr.
Later in life, she was united in marriage to Mack Holmes on March 27, 1989.
Annie confessed Christ early in life and was a member of Saints On The Move Apostolic Church in Fort Worth, Texas.
Annie is preceded in death by her parents, Renard Brown Sr. and Annie Zora Brown; two brothers, Charles Wayne Brown and W.M. Brown (Bo); one sister, Ruby Neel Minger.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories: One daughter, LaShell Ann Davis (Robert); two sons, Louis Bernard Webb (Stacey) and Eugene Louis Webb, Jr (LaDrina); four grandsons, Robert Davis II, Christopher Davis, Louis Webb Jr. and Eugene Webb III; three granddaughters, Krystal Anderson, Morgan Webb and Dominique Webb; seven great –grandchildren ; one sister, Eva Lois White (Ed); one brother, Renard Brown, Jr. (Faye); four nephews, Robert Bowman, Reo Bowman Jr. (Elizabeth), Edgar White (Earnestine), Gary Faggett; five nieces, Lashon Dews, Lakeitha Neal (Michael), Juzast Minger, Cassandra Brown, Cynthia Green; two aunts, Laurine Ruckett of Peris, CA and Tinnie Guidry of Tyler, Tx; and a host of other relatives and friends.
