Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 5:55 p.m. Anthony (Tony) Williams entered into the heavenly gates of Our Father.
On September 7,1951, Tony was born to Curtis and Katie Williams
in Galveston. Texas. At an early age, Tony accepted Christ and was a member of Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church.
Tony proudly earned his certification as a Master Welder. He assisted in numerous complex projects in the Galveston shipyard that required his skills and expertise.
Tony was very appreciative of and loved his family dearly. He leaves a brother, Kenneth Williams Sr., who is married to Renee. Their son, Kenneth Williams, Jr. and his wife Yassmine, have four children: Audric, Ariah, Abriel and Amira- all of whom loved and enjoyed their time with Tony.
He also leaves a sister, Sandra, who is married to Rev. Lewis B. Johnson, Jr. Their son, Lewis B. Johnson Ill (Trey) and his wife Shyra, have seven children: Lewis IV(Quad), Roman, Justice, Liberty, Harmony, Zion and Victory. Trey & Shyra will always be grateful to Uncle Tony's lizard belly rub technique. Tony taught Trey to put lizards to sleep as a young boy. Trey used this method to put Quad to sleep as a colicky baby!
Their daughter, Dr. Katandria Love Demps, is married to Keith Demps and was a blessing to Tony in her care of his well being alongside her grandmother, mother and uncle.
In addition, Tony's cousins Yvonne, Jeanette, Brenda and Linda will miss him.
Tony was charming, very particular about who cut his hair and loved good food and family visits. His family will always cherish his warm smiles and fondly remember the funny stories that he shared.
