ANTIONETTE ALEXANDER

September 10, 1958 — January 3, 2026

ANTIONETTE ALEXANDER, a vibrant soul with a heart as boundless as her energy, was born on September 10, 1958, and left this world on January 3, 2026. Antionette, who lovingly embraced the roles of mother, sister, and friend, was a beacon of strength and resilience, embodying the essence of care, humor, and generosity. She was affectionately known as "Mama Bear" for her protective nature and nurturing spirit, always ensuring those she loved were safe and content.

A proud mother to her daughters, Septhia Alexander, and her sons, Le'Aujdon Alexander, Asa Alexander, and Celester Smith, Antionette’s greatest pride lay in her children. She poured her heart into raising them, instilling the values of hard work and generosity. Her legacy shines brightly through her grandchildren: Autumn Alexander, Arthur Alexander, Asa Alexander Jr., and Kalliel Anderson, as well as her great-grandsons, Ace'yón Alexander and Na'Jamir Anderson. They all carry forward the love and strength she imparted.

Antionette found joy in the simplest of pleasures; her laughter was infectious, and her spirit was truly one of a kind. Friends would often reminisce about her dancing to the beat of her favorite tunes or skillfully working on cars—a testament to her playful moniker, “Ms. Fixit.” Her penchant for action movies provided many evenings of entertainment filled with both adventure and camaraderie, echoing her lively personality. Antionette was also a passionate cook, constantly sharing her culinary creations with those around her, ensuring a warm meal could always be enjoyed together.

Her presence was like a warm ray of light that uplifted everyone in her orbit. Antionette’s unyielding spirit and determination defined her. Even the most challenging times never dimmed her desire to help and uplift others, showcasing her incredible strength. Ever the go-getter, her actions spoke loudly of her will and passion for life.

Antionette leaves behind a cherished family: her devoted mother, Era Mae Black; sisters, Etosha Bowen, Shabral Garland, Detra Henry, Kimberly Black, Channie Clifton, and Leanira Black; and brothers, Jarvis and Christopher Black. These family bonds were fortified through love and mutual support, even as they navigate the profound loss of Antionette.

As we remember Antionette, we celebrate not only her life but the remarkable influence she had on everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. While she has departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will continue to resonate within the hearts of her family and friends.
