April's passion for cooking was evident in everything she did; her kitchen was the heart of her home, where she delighted in preparing meals for family and friends alike. Friends and family alike describe her as someone who made no strangers; her warmth and kindness were felt by everyone she met.

Her love for movies, particularly her favorite, "Imitation of Life," showcased her appreciation for storytelling and the human experience.
