ARTHUR LEE WASHINGTON

Arthur Lee Washington, a dedicated janitor at General Portland Cement Company, passed away on January 22, 2024, in Justin, Texas. He was born on November 17, 1940, in Lewisville, Arkansas. Arthur was known for his hard work and dedication in maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the company premises.

Arthur received his education at Kilpatrick High School, where he honed his skills and developed his strong work ethic. After completing his studies, he joined General Portland Cement Company and served as a janitor for several decades. His commitment to his job was unwavering, and he took pride in ensuring that the facilities were always in excellent condition.

Beyond his career, Arthur had a vibrant personality that endeared him to those around him. He had a deep love for his family and enjoyed entertaining them with jokes and funny stories. Arthur's children and grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he cherished spending time with them. In addition to sharing laughter and joy with his loved ones, he also enjoyed fishing trips and watching sports and Westerns on television. Through these shared experiences, Arthur imparted important life lessons to his children, emphasizing the values of treating others with respect and kindness.

Arthur Lee Washington is survived by a loving family who will cherish the memories they created together. He is survived by his children: Marchelle Holiday, Samathia Washington, Arthur Washington Jr., Adolphus Washington (Rosalind), James Washington (Kathy), and Jessica Washington. His grandchildren include Omunique, James Jr., Adrienne, Adolphus II, Savannah, Dakota, Karlton, Nicole, Denzel, Leah Whitney Tarrentz and Camron - a total of 18 loving grandchildren. Additionally surviving him is his sister Kay Bonner.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents James and Alllene Washington. He also joins his sister Erma Mitchell and brothers Dennis Washington and Frank Washington in eternal rest.

A funeral service to honor and celebrate the life of Arthur Lee Washington will be held on January 25, 2024, at GOLDEN GATE FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION in Fort Worth, Texas. The service will begin at 13:00, with visitation starting at 14:00. Friends, family, and all who knew Arthur are invited to attend the service as a final tribute to his remarkable life.

Arthur Lee Washington will be fondly remembered for his strong work ethic, his warm sense of humor, and his dedication to his family. May he rest in peace and may his legacy continue to inspire all who knew him.
