ARTICE W. CHATMON Jr.

Artice Wiley Chatman, affectionately known as "LIL Man," departed this life peacefully on August 28, 2026, at the age of 86 in Fort Worth, Texas.

Born on April 29, 1940, in Tenaha, Texas, Artice was the beloved son of Mr. Artice W. Chatman Sr. and Ms. Ethel B. Goss. He was a man of strong character, dedication, and perseverance who spent many years as a hardworking employee at Tyler Pipe and Western Refining. Artice also proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment to both family and nation.

Artice was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He shared 18 loving years of marriage with his wife, Donna Maria White-Chatman, who survives him. He is also survived by his son, David C. Cochran of Lindale, Texas, along with a host of stepchildren whom he lovingly helped raise and support throughout their lives.

His legacy continues through his numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will cherish his memory and the impact he made on their lives.

Artice was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Artice W. Chatman Sr. and Ms. Ethel B. Goss; 1 daughter, and 2 sons.

Artice will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his dedication to family, his service to his country, and the love he generously shared with those around him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
