Aviah Michelle Getz

February 14, 2020 — March 25, 2026

Aviah Michelle Getz, a radiant light whose brief but vibrant presence touched the hearts of all who knew her, passed away on March 25, 2026, in Fort Worth, Texas. Born on a day celebrated for love—Valentine’s Day, February 14, 2020—in Arlington, Texas, Aviah embodied the joyous spirit that accompanies such a special date.

From the moment she entered this world, Aviah was a beacon of happiness and vivacity. Her bright blue eyes mirrored her big smile, and her personality, though a little bossy at times, was overflowing with life and warmth. She was a happy child, hyper and patient in equal measure, who found true delight in the successes and joys of other children, always genuinely rooting for their happiness.

Aviah’s curiosity and joy flourished in the simple pleasures she adored: dressing up in imaginative costumes, losing herself in colors as she colored and drew, helping her mother and father cook meals infused with laughter, and playing outdoors under the gleaming sun. With nimble ninja kicks and mischievous grins, she filled family moments with playful energy, capturing goofy photos and sweet selfies alongside her beloved mom. Her tender affection extended to her cherished Uncle JoJo’s kitty, Zetsu, who was a constant companion in her adventures.

A beloved big sister, Aviah treasured her role within the family. She attended Dickson Elementary School, where her spirit continued to inspire those around her. Her love for play extended to frequent joyful encounters with cousins, creating memories filled with laughter and light-hearted mischief.

Aviah leaves behind her mother, Courtney Getz, and father, Andre Tribett, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts. She is survived by her sister, Mazikeen, and a loving extended family: grandmother Arlene Holloway (Dean), grandfather James Getz, uncle JoJo Getz (Kennedy), and aunts Desiray Smith (Zeke), Amanda (Ethan), Ranae, and Amber (Bobby), along with numerous cousins who were blessed to share time with her.

As we gather to honor Aviah’s bright and beautiful spirit, a viewing will take place on March 29, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. This will be followed by her funeral service at 3:00 PM, continuing at the same location under the care of Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-ALLENE.

Though her time among us was far too short, Aviah Michelle Getz’s exuberance, her infectious smile, and her boundless love for family and friends will forever animate the hearts of those who knew her. She was, and always will be, our little Valentine—full of life, warmth, and endless affection.
