Benita Black, a beloved soul born on July 7, 1958, in Dallas, Texas, soared to her eternal rest on July 18, 2025, also in her cherished hometown. Benita bled passion and energy into everything she did, from her career to her family, and she left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

With a diverse and enriching career, Benita touched many lives during her time at the Dallas Morning News, ENK Nursing, and the Walmart Optical Center. Her hard work and commitment were evident in every effort she poured into her jobs. But it was not her accomplishments that defined her; rather, it was her vibrant personality that made her unforgettable. Outgoing, flamboyant, and outspoken, Benita spoke her mind with a fierce honesty that often brought laughter and joy to those around her.

She also had a deep affinity for sports, proudly cheering for her beloved Dallas Cowboys.
