BERNICE SPENCER-BARROW

Bernice Spencer-Barrow, beloved wife, mother, and community member, passed away peacefully in Dallas, TX on December 29, 2023. She was born in Garrison, TX on January 5, 1948. Bernice lived a fulfilling life filled with love, compassion, and dedication to her family and community.

Bernice's legacy encompasses many aspects of her life that brought joy to those around her She was a devoted wife to Calvin Barrow and a loving mother to Richard Spencer, Paul Spencer, Malcolm Spencer, Caleb Barrow, Cherrie Spencer and Valerie Spencer. The bonds she created with her family were unbreakable and formed the foundation of her strength and character.

Professionally, Bernice excelled as a Dietitian in Healthcare. Her passion for nutrition and wellness allowed her to make a positive impact on countless lives. Through her expertise and care, she improved the health outcomes of numerous individuals who sought her guidance.

Bernice's faith played an integral role in shaping her life. She was an active member of Union Missionary Baptist Church in Italy, TX. Her devotion to her church community demonstrated her strong belief in the power of spirituality and fellowship.

In addition to her professional accomplishments and spiritual devotion, Bernice cherished the simple pleasures in life. She had a love for nature's beauty and appreciated spending time outdoors. Whether it was tending to her garden or taking leisurely walks, she found solace in the tranquility of nature.

Family held a special place in Bernice's heart. She enthusiastically supported her children's endeavors and celebrated their achievements alongside them. Bernice also embraced the role of a grandmother with delight as she cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren.

A viewing service will be held on January 12, 2024 at Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory located at 4155 S R.L Thornton Fwy in Dallas, TX from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share condolences during this time of remembrance.

On January 13, 2024, a Funeral Service will take place at Bonnieview Christian Church at 4861 Bonnie View Road in Dallas, TX. The service will begin at noon and conclude at 2:00 PM. It will be a solemn occasion filled with loving memories and heartfelt tributes to honor Bernice's life.
