BERNICE WARD

Bernice Ward, born on May 21, 1941, in Overton, Texas, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Dallas, Texas.

Her life spanned 85 years, and she will be remembered with love and respect by all who knew her. From her beginnings in Overton to her passing in Dallas, Bernice’s life was one that will be honored and cherished in memory.

Bernice was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She worked in finance at her church.  She was a notary and bookkeeper.   Bernice was a nurse and was a very caring person and worked for Baylor Scott Hospital for over 25 years.  She also worked at several nursing home where her patients loved her caring spirit.   

Bernice loved to cook and travel.  She loved spending time with family and creating precious memories.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance for a viewing on Friday, September 25, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, Texas 75224.

A funeral service celebrating her life will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Goodwill B.C., 516 North Jim Miller Road, Dallas, Texas 75217.
