BETTY ROY

With deepest sorrow, we announce that Betty Louise Roy, (age 65) our beloved mother, sister, family member, and friend passed suddenly on Friday, March 12, 2021 while in the hospital.   Betty was born on August 16, 1955, in Dallas, TX to George Ella Roy and James Stuckey Gray, both of who preceded in death along with her sisters, Ruby Walker and Patricia Roy and brother, Willie James Roy.     In early adulthood, Betty was already a hard worker and good at helping people. She decided to complete a certified nurse assistant (CNA) program, and soon after became a caretaker for her siblings, and eventually her mother.    When free from helping others, Betty was the life of any party. Music and dancing were some of her most memorable moments. Betty always wanted to make sure you were having a good time and enjoying yourself.    Betty will be missed everyday by her children, Lolita Roy, Lola Curry, and Donnie Ray Curry; domestic spouse, Darryl Wilson; her surviving siblings, Troy Roy, Sandra Roy, Kenneth Roy, and Vickie Gray; grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and many great friends.   Those who knew Betty, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives.
