In Loving Memory of Birdie Mae Baker-Smith

Birdie Mae Baker-Smith, a woman whose name will forever be etched in hearts of those who knew her, peacefully passed away on July 2, 2024. Born on May 22, 1940, Birdie's life was a tapestry woven with threads of love, kindness, and unwavering faith.

Birdie will be remembered for her exceptional culinary skills that turned every meal into a feast and her talent as a caterer that brought joy to numerous gatherings. Her home was always open to all, embodying the true spirit of hospitality and generosity. The warmth of her welcome and the love she exuded made everyone feel like family.

A woman of quiet strength and immense love, Birdie's gentle spirit touched the lives of many. Her devotion to God was evident in every word she spoke and every action she took. As an encourager and community activist, Birdie uplifted those around her and worked tirelessly to make her community a better place.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Birdie will remember her as a beacon of light in a world sometimes darkened by troubles. Her memory will live on as a source of inspiration for generations to come.

Survived by five children, fourteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren, Birdie's legacy continues through her beloved family members who carry forward the values she held dear.

Services to honor and celebrate Birdie's life will be held at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas on July 12, 2024. The visitation will take place from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. There will also be a wake held from 7:15 PM-8:15PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home- Dallas.  A Celebration of Life will be held at MT ROSE CHURCH on July 13, 2024, starting at 11:00 AM.

As we mourn the loss of Birdie Mae Baker-Smith, let us also celebrate the remarkable life she lived and the love she shared with all who crossed her path. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
