Brandon Lakeith Erving, of Dallas, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2026, in Dallas. He was born on August 1, 1990, in Dallas, and his life was marked by a spirit that drew people in and a presence that could not be overlooked.
Brandon attended A. Maceo High School and built his working life as a forklift driver. He was known as a hard worker, someone who brought energy and commitment to what he did. Beyond his work, Brandon embraced life with enthusiasm. He loved traveling, enjoyed good food as a true foodie, and found joy in going to the movies. He was funny, fashionable, and full of life, with a big personality that made him fun to be around. Brandon was often the life of the party, and wherever he went, his presence was known.
Of all the things that mattered most to him, his proudest accomplishment was his children. They were at the center of his heart and stood as the deepest expression of his love and purpose.
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Monika Benson; his mother, Brenda Erving; his sons, Brandon Erving, Jr. and Armon Lakeith Wallace; his sisters, Vickie Miller and Taquisha Erving; his brother, Fredrick Miller; and his uncle, Larry Erving. He will also be remembered with love by all those who knew the bond he shared within his family and the joy he brought into their lives.
Brandon was preceded in death by his father, Victor Wysner; his grandmother, Clineter Jackson Miller; his sister, Latasha Miller; his brother, Seburn Miller; his niece, Ala Aliyah Hart; his aunt, Regina Gail Erving; and his uncle, Ricky Erving.
Family and friends are invited to honor Brandon’s life at a viewing on September 27, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75224. A wake will follow that same day from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas Allene, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75224. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 28, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas-Allene, 4155 S. R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, Texas 75224. Burial will take place at Mountain Creek Cemetery, 2099 Hardy Road, Grand Prairie, Texas 75051.
Brandon Lakeith Erving will be remembered for his laughter, his style, his unmistakable presence, and the love he carried for his family. His memory will remain in the hearts of those who loved him, and his spirit will continue to be felt in the stories, smiles, and moments they share.
