BRENDA WALDON RHYNES

Brenda Waldon Rhynes, a beloved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), passed away on August 27, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 56. Born on September 20, 1968, in Shreveport, Louisiana, Brenda dedicated her life to caring for others, a reflection of her vibrant and compassionate spirit.

Known for her loud, outgoing, and bold personality, Brenda had a gift for bringing joy to those around her. Her humor and caring nature endeared her to family, friends, and all whom she encountered throughout her life. Brenda was a devoted mother and grandmother, cherishing every moment spent with her children and loved ones.

Brenda is survived by her son, Ghamia Waldon, her daughter-in-law, Tatiana Waldon, and her daughter, Gabrielle Rhynes. She is preceded in death by her father, Doc Watts, her mother, Annie Ruth Watts, and her brother David Watts. 

Beyond her career as a CNA, Brenda had a variety of hobbies and interests that brought her joy. She enjoyed reading, playing Sudoku, and taking on do-it-yourself projects around her house, showcasing her creativity and resourcefulness.

The community is invited to pay their respects during a viewing on September 12, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. A funeral service will be held the following day, September 13, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas (Allene), with the same address.

Brenda Walden Rhynes will be remembered for her loving spirit and the impact she had on those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
