C. WINGHAM

C. Elliott “Johnny” Wingham, Sr. was born on July 7, 1953 to the parentage of Rev. Clifton and Bernice Wingham, Sr. in Caney City, Texas.  He received his education from Eustace High School in Eustace, Texas.  He furthered his education at Regional Travel Training Center by receiving his Professional Computer certification.

He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age.   Johnny was later united with Tel Star Baptist Church in 1975, True Love Missionary Baptist Church in 1986, and Greater Peoples Missionary Baptist Church in 2008. He beautifully served as a Deacon, a Trustee, and the “fix it man” until he was called home.

He was united in holy matrimony with Carolyn Joyce Edwards on October 13, 1979 in Dallas, Texas.  They were blessed to be united for 41 glorious years.  Together, they birthed three handsome and talented boys, LeQuenton Ellamor Wingham, Clestus Daenun Wingham, and C. Elliott Wingham, Jr.

He departed this life on August 28, 2021.  He was preceded in death by: his mother and father: Rev. Clifton and Bernice Wingham, Sr.; his sisters: Orea Lee Jackson  and Debra Steward.

He leaves to cherish and honor his memory: his loving wife: Carolyn Wingham; sons: LeQuenton Ellamor Wingham, Clestus Daenun Wingham, and C. Elliott Wingham, Jr. (Kimberly); daughters in love: Danielle Hearn and Feltonya Brown; brothers: Clifton Wingham, Jr. (Mary), Autry Mack Wingham; sisters: Elzena Faye Williams and Jeanette "Net" Evans (Robert); six grandchildren: Brhianna E’niece Wingham, Caleb Elliott Wingham, Kinsley Nicole Wingham, Maurice Brown, Brittney Nealy, and Baileigh Brown; an uncle, aunts, cousins and a multitude of loving nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends.
