Candy Lanell Manning, a beacon of light and love, departed this world peacefully on July 31, 2025, in her beloved Dallas, Texas. Born on July 9, 1961, Candy embraced life with an exuberance that was unmistakably her own. From her earliest days, she carried with her a profound faith in God that served as the foundation of her character and the essence of her spirit.
Candy's personality was a unique tapestry, woven with threads of humor, care, resilience, and generosity. She was a friend to many, her very presence a source of strength and comfort in times of strife. Candy had an unparalleled ability to lift the spirits of those around her, often bringing laughter where there might have been silence. Her warmth fostered connections that transcended mere acquaintance, transforming them into a community bound by love and support.
As a devoted mother, her proudest accomplishments were her children, whom she nurtured with boundless love and guidance. Candy was more than a caregiver; she was a champion for her children's dreams and ambitions, pouring into them the values of determination and kindness she so cherished.
In her free time, she indulged in hobbies that highlighted her creative spirit. Whether it was crafting beautiful pieces of pottery, the rhythmic joy of crocheting, enjoying a lively game of bingo, or the simple pleasure of shopping, Candy found delight in the little things, often sharing these moments with friends and family.
Candy’s life was grounded in her faith. She put God first in everything and believed fully in the power of being covered in the blood of Jesus. Her prayers were quiet anchors in our lives, and her trust in God never wavered. While our hearts are aching with grief, we are comforted by the peace of knowing she is resting with the Lord. We mourn her deeply, but we also celebrate her life, the legacy she leaves behind, and the unshakable faith that carried her through it all.
A prayer service will be held in her honor on August 7, 2025, at 6:00 PM, followed by her funeral service on August 8, 2025, at 1:00 PM. Both services will take place at the Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas.
As we gather to celebrate the indelible mark Candy has left on our lives, we remember her unwavering faith, infectious laughter, and loving spirit. In celebrating her life, may we all find strength in her memory and carry forward the love she so generously shared throughout her journey.
