Carroll James Ancar was born May 1, 1941 in Diamond, Louisiana to the parentage of Marcelin and Celestine Ancar.
Carroll gave his life to Christ at an early age. He received his education from the Plaquemines Parish School District. After school he began working at an early age and was employed by Freeport – McMoran where he was a dedicated employee for many years until he retired. During his retirement years he also worked for Barton Private Patrol.
He later met and married Grace Davison. This union welcomed Carroll B. Ancar, William Ancar Sr., Deadra Davis, Marcelin Ancar, Lyndon Ancar, Rahiem Ancar, and Gary Earl.
Carroll was a devoted member of the Knights of Columbus of Buras, Louisiana. Upon moving to Dallas, he also donated his time by serving his community as a parking lot greeter at Kirkwood Temple C.M.E. Church and as an assistant youth baseball and soccer coach for A. W. Brown Fellowship Academy until his health began to fail.
On April 21, 2021, Carroll departed his earthly life. Preceding him in death were his parents, Marcelin and Celestine Ancar; first wife, Inez B. Ancar; and brother-in-law, Farrell Bartholomew Sr.
Left to cherish memories are his loving wife of 26 years, Grace Ancar; children, Carroll B. Ancar (Sifronia), William Ancar Sr. (Tessie), Deadra Davis (Brian Sr.), Marcelin Ancar (Jeanitta), Lyndon Ancar (Alesisa), Rahiem Ancar, and Gary Earl; 18 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; siblings, Randy Ancar Sr. (Lisa), Verna Bartholomew (late Farrell Sr.), Ricky Ancar (Dorothy), and Fabian Ancar (Brinella); mother in law, Mary Davison; sister in law Debra Henderson; brothers in law Haywood Rhone, Thomas, Kenneth Sr., and Edgar Davison Jr.; several god-children; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
