CATHY BARRON

Cathy LaShon Barron was born March 23, 1972 in Dallas, TX to parents Lizzie Mae Luckey (Barron) and Alton Bailey at Parkland Hospital.   Cathy accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of  Antioch Missionary Baptist Church where she sang  along with her sisters and cousins in the Sunshine Choir.  She was a beautiful lady with a loving heart , not too soft spoken, Cathy was known to tell it like it is “Straight Up”.  From day one she was always comfortable in her position in life as a natural leader.

Cathy attended Highschool at Bryan Adams and worked with the Dallas Independent School District for 10 Years in a Food Services.

Cathy transitioned from this life to eternity on October 20, 2020, gaining her wings after years of battling cancer.  She is proceeded in death by her her grandmother, Beatrice Barron, father Alton Bailey and her sweet baby girl Miss Liz Leona Harper.

She leaves to cherish her memories and is survived by her parents Jerry and Lizzie Luckey; Father Willie Mims; Her children, Coca’ Lea Barron, Cathy Harper Jr.; Casey Perry II and Courtney Perry; Her Sisters, LaJoyce Hayden (Kevin, Heaven, Brooklyn), LaSharon Salaam (Eric, Dale, Khalil), Patience Saddler (Willie) Brothers; Anthony Wagner and Jerry Wagner; Grandchildren, Elijah, Terrance, Keyshon, O’Darrion, Brandon Jr., Alaeyah, Casey III and Malea, also two grandchildren on the way, one will be her namesake. Cathy also leaves to carry her in memory special friends, Brandon Dodd of 12 years, Fredrick Reid of 13 years, Miss Tina Elder of 19 years, Casey Perry Sr. of 29 years, Cynthia Williams of 30 years and God Mother Alicia Terzo; and a host of Aunts uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
