CHARLES E NOLAN

CHARLES E NOLEN, a beloved truck driver and cherished jokester, passed away on March 30, 2025, in Red Oak, Texas, at the age of 88. Born on January 21, 1937, in Winona, Texas, Charles led a life marked by kindness, humor, and an indomitable spirit that touched the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A proud veteran of the Navy, Charles exemplified strong values and a sense of duty that he carried throughout his life. His career as a truck driver allowed him to forge connections with many individuals, embracing the joys of being a people person. Charles was known for his lovable nature and had a knack for making others smile. He cherished having company and spread laughter wherever he went.

One of his proudest accomplishments was his passion for cooking, known especially for his spicy dishes that delighted family and friends. A lover of life’s simple pleasures, he found joy in visiting casinos, trying his luck at the lottery, and indulging in McDonald’s hamburgers and nuggets, which became a fond favorite.

Charles’s legacy will be honored through a series of services. A visitation will take place on April 6, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 South R. L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75224. His funeral service will follow on April 7, 2025, beginning at 8:30 AM at the same location. The burial will take place later that day at 11:00 AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211.
