Charles Edward Trammell received his wings Friday, April 30, 2021, at the age of 66. On May 30, 1954, Charles was born to Virgie Trammell and Hershel Jackson in Denton, Texas. After high school, he joined the army, but his greatest accomplishment was deciding to go to college and obtain his Bachelor’s degree upon retirement. Charles received his degree in Health Information Technology from National American University.
Charles was known by many for his gentle heart and comedic personality! He was an awesome father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. Always willing to share his wisdom, make you laugh, and help these “knuckleheads” as he called them, become great men! Charles did everything he could to make sure his loved ones were taken care of and knew how much he loved them….the family was most important to him!!
He had many loves, and although the greatest of those was family...food, music, and The Dallas Cowboys were high on that list. Charles felt that music and good food were the cure for all things after God of course. It didn’t matter the genre, but according to him, there was nothing greater than his “P-Funk!! He would spend many hours lost in the music, at times alone or other times DJ’ing for the community. In his world, there was always time for Music. And then there was The Dallas Cowboys, winning or losing, he would watch every game! He would be positioned in front of the tv, with his food, dressed in his Cowboy’s attire, and “coaching” every single game without fail. Family, Music, Food, and the Cowboys is who he was!!
He was preceded in death by his mother and father,
Survivors: His Love, Jacqueline Oliver; sisters: Janie Gibbs (Leo), Sonya Williams (Darrell), Sons: Lorenzo Dobbins, Carlos Trammell (NaToya), Derrick Floyd, Brandon Oliver (Cindy ), and Jeremy Oliver (Britany); Daughters: Quanica Renea Floyd, LaSonya Dobbins; 21 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren, and a host of special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
