CHARLOTTE SUSAN ALLEN

November 17, 1949 – October 12, 2025

Charlotte “Susan” Allen, 75, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, at the Dallas VA Medical Center. She was born on November 17, 1949, at Florence Nightingale Hospital in Dallas, Texas. 

Susan proudly served her country as a member of the United States Navy. After her service, she built a life filled with love, friendship, and generosity. She was a voracious reader, an excellent cook, and found great joy in sharing meals and stories with the people she cared for most. 

She is survived by her brother David (Cindy) Allen of Nome, Texas; her sister Janice Nichols of Dallas, Texas; her children Jennifer (Alvario) Thomas of Tallahassee, Florida, and David (Alicia) Leingang of Bismarck, North Dakota; as well as her many cherished grandchildren. She also leaves behind a close circle of friends in Dallas who enriched her later years with laughter and companionship. 

Susan will be remembered for her strength, her warmth, and the way she made others feel at home in her presence.

Funeral services will be held at 1:15pm on November 17th, at the Dallas VA Cemetery, and her family invites all who knew and loved her to attend.
