CHI'QUIA MONIQUE CHRISTIAN

March 27, 1987 — September 15, 2025

CHIQUIA MONIQUE CHRISTIAN, a radiant soul whose vibrant smile and kind heart illuminated the lives of many, passed away on September 15, 2025, in her beloved hometown of Dallas, TX. Born on March 27, 1987, in Dallas, she was a devoted daughter, sister, and, above all, a loving mother. Her warmth touched every corner of her community, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

ChiQuia’s professional journey as an insurance agent with GEICO was just one part of her multifaceted life. Determined and resilient, she carved out a path for herself where her talents shined. Yet, it was her devotion to family and friends that truly defined her legacy. She was a remarkable daughter to her mother, LaTasha Christian, and father, Malcolm Fisher, Sr. Her greatest joy was her son, Grant Christian-Taylor, whom she lovingly called her miracle child. She shared cherished bonds with her siblings—brothers Malcolm Fisher, Jr., and Darvion Rhone, and sister, MaQuia Fisher—alongside a host of cousins who treasured her dearly.

Her educational journey began at Charles Rice Elementary, continued through Pearl C. Anderson, and culminated with her graduation from Lincoln High School, where she excelled as a B Honor Roll student and earned recognition in Who’s Who Among American Students. She later attended Navarro Community College, where her love for the performing arts blossomed. Whether acting in plays, singing karaoke, or writing in her journal, ChiQuia’s creative spirit always found a way to shine.

Faith was the cornerstone of ChiQuia’s life. At Munger Avenue Baptist Church, she was a beloved member of the Praise and Worship Team, soprano section leader of the Mass Choir, and a committed servant in various roles, including President of the Youth Department, Youth Usher Board, and the Azalea Garden Club. Her dedication reflected her vibrant spirit and love for serving others.

Those closest to her carry countless memories. Her sister, MaQuia, fondly recalls an unforgettable birthday trip to Atlanta, GA—a testament to their unbreakable bond. She treasured time with her grandmother, Mary Christian, whom she missed deeply. Her mother remembers the tender moment when ChiQuia asked her to lay beside her as she prepared to give birth—a symbol of the closeness and love that defined her family ties.

ChiQuia’s spirit was one of encouragement, joy, and positivity. Her smile was contagious, her words uplifting, and her heart endlessly giving. She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and light that will continue to live in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were blessed to know her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, General Grant Scott; grandmother, Mary Christian; and father, Jackie Carlisle.

Those who will forever cherish her memory include her son, Grant Christian-Taylor; mother, LaTasha Christian-Fisher; father, Malcolm Fisher, Sr.; brothers, Malcolm Fisher, Jr. and Darvion Rhone; sister, MaQuia Fisher; aunt, Chandra Rhone; uncles, Jessie Christian and Terry Christian; great aunt Earnestine Cummings, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

In celebration of ChiQuia’s life, a Wake Service will be held on September 26, 2025, from 7:15 pm – 8:15 pm at Golden Gate Funeral Home – Dallas Allene, followed by her Funeral Service on September 27, 2025, at 3:00 pm at the same location. As we honor and reflect on the life of this extraordinary woman, may we carry her spirit forward, embracing the love and inspiration she so graciously shared.
