CHRISTOPHER JAMES DAVIS

Christopher James Davis was a devoted husband, loving father, cherished friend, nephew, uncle, and brother whose life was centered around family, love, and devotion. Chris was born on September 5, 1984, and passed away peacefully on August 5, 2026, at the age of 41. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Glenda Davis and Lawrence Nelson. Chris was a devoted husband to his wife, Twylia.

Their love story began as high school sweethearts and grew into a lifetime of love, friendship, and commitment. Together, they were blessed with two beautiful children, Amya Denise Davis and Christopher James Davis Jr., and built a beautiful life filled with cherished memories that will forever live on in their hearts. Family was at the center of Chris's life, and he took great pride in loving, supporting, and providing for those he held dear. His presence brought strength, comfort, laughter, and love to everyone around him, and he will always be remembered for his kindness, generosity, strength, wonderful sense of humor, willingness to help others, and the tremendous love he showed his family and friends.

Although our hearts are broken by his passing, we are grateful for the years we were blessed to share with him, and his love and legacy will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.

Chris leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Twylia; his children, Amya and Christopher Jr.; his siblings, Alonzo Morning, Ali’Lisa Nelson, Kenneth Louden, Laqueena Louden, Cedric Louden (LaToya), and Shaneika Louden; his cousins and brothers, Kevin Nelson (Portia), Timothy Nelson (Kassius), Terrance Nelson (Kiambria), Wesley McCowan, Joseph McCowan, and Jonathan Grant (Latiffaney); his mother-in-law, Dawn Ford; father-in-law, Michael Bell; brother-in-law, Travis Ford; godsisters, Portia Nelson, Kiriosha Marks Richmond, Shedell McDonald, and C’Deia Alford; goddaughters, Kelis Nelson, Aarikah Reese, and Jasmine Simpson; aunts, Vickie McCowan (Lesley), Barbara McCowan (Wesley), Angela Davis, Sandra Boyd, Pastor Hazel Spain, Angela Peoples, Alice Harris (Charles), and Juanita McMurry; uncles, Jake Nelson (Myrtle), Willie Earl (Diane), Melvin Davis, Joe Davis (Tracy), Louis A. Ford, and Louis T. Though his time with us has come to an end, the memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he gave will remain in our hearts forever. Forever loved. Forever missed.
