“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.”
John 14: 1-4 (NIV)
~LIFE REFLECTIONS ~
CLARENCE JONES was a devoted brother, husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was born in Dallas, Texas on December 12, 1934. He served in the United States Air Force from November 4, 1953 until he was honorably discharged on July 3, 1957. His rank was Airman Third Class. Clarence was married to Merivonne Robb on December 20, 1956. They remained married until her passing on December 27, 1998.
Clarence was a not so quiet, but gentle man who loved spending time with his family. He loved his dogs Trouble and CJ. Trouble proceeded him in death. He loved all types of music and was very content enjoying the tunes as well as watching movies in the privacy of his own home. He loved sports; however, his favorites were football and track. Clarence was a very proud fan and supporter of his children and grandchildren as they actively participated on the field playing football and/or running track.
Clarence was also an avid golfer. He loved going on road trips and tailgating with his friends, Monty and Lawrence. He thoroughly enjoyed grilling at the house and in his eyes, he was a Master Grill Chef. Clarence was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He had a servant’s heart and never expected anything in return for his good deeds. Clarence worked in the Retail business for a total of 30+ years.
Clarence is preceded in death by: his mother, Alean Johnson; his stepfather, Horace Johnson; his brother, Horace Johnson, Jr.; and a sister, Bernice Smith.
