Cleveland Lee Gafford, Jr. was born in Pleasantville, Louisiana on January 10, 1944, to the parentage of Cleveland Lee Gafford, Sr. and Georgia Williams. Cleveland accepted Christ at an early age, being baptized at First Baptist Church in Pleasantville, Louisiana. He was educated in the Clarksville Independent School District, and graduated from Cheatham High School in Clarksville, Texas. In 1969 he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he married Carolyn Johnson. To this union one daughter was born, Erica Gafford.
Cleveland was employed as a welder with various companies in the Dallas area. His hobbies included shooting pool, and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his parents Cleveland Lee Gafford, Sr. and Georgia Williams, his brother George Gafford, and his sisters Cleathel Leichman and Bonnie Omorogieva.
Cleveland is survived by his daughters: Monique Mashaun and Erica Elizabeth of Dallas, Texas; 1 grandchild: Amber Janique Gafford of Dallas, Texas; one great-grandchild: Aamir Aisola of Dallas, Texas; two sisters: Inez Samuels and Connie Dancer of Dallas, Texas; one brother: Cleophis Gafford of Oklahoma City; and many other loving relatives and friends.
He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
