Clifford Lee Rodgers Sr. began his life‘s journey on December 21, 1958, born into a family of seven siblings to the parents of James Rodgers Jr. and Bobbie Grant, Rodgers-Foreman in Dallas, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age and was faithful to his missionary mission which was to help people until his passing. He graduated from South Oak Cliff High School in May 1977 in Dallas, Texas. Clifford went on to attend American Trade Institute and graduated on January 5, 1978 as a welder.
In June 1978, Clifford joined the United States Navy and completed his basic training in Orlando, Florida. He then went to A-school in Millington, Tennessee to train as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. Twenty thousand years later… (L.O.L) Clifford asked for Cheryl and his stepdaughter Patrice's hand in marriage on April 24, 1999, and they accepted. As we all know, Clifford did things on his own time. Nobody rushes him… during their journey through life, they had two sons, Clifford Lee Rodgers Jr, and Joshua Mashan Rodgers. Clifford was a loving husband and a great father.
Clifford worked for various organizations, starting with General Dynamics in San Diego, California; DART in Dallas, Texas; Yellowbird and SEPTA bus companies in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania…but what he really loved most was helping people at “MANNA” which is organization that serve meals for people who are ill or terminally ill in Philadelphia and surrounding areas for the past 10 years.
Clifford retired as a disabled veteran from the United States Navy.
