MR D'AINSLEY TENNEL SMITH

MR D'AINSLEY TENNEL SMITH, affectionately known as "Dee," was born on July 19, 1973, in Dallas, Texas. He passed away in his beloved hometown on August 28, 2025.

Dee was a multifaceted individual whose life was rich with diverse experiences and accomplishments. He held various significant roles throughout his career, including realtor, barber, and finance manager. However, perhaps his most cherished achievement was founding "No Name Needed," a non-profit organization that exemplified his commitment to community service and support.

A proud family man, Dee was the epitome of a loving father to his three daughters, D'Ashley Smith, Genia Sneed, and Megan Smith. He was deeply devoted to encouraging them in their pursuits, always ready to stand by their side through school and life’s milestones. His unwavering support extended beyond his children, reflecting his protective nature towards all his siblings, Lanecia Williams, Domonique Holder, Correy Bible, Ronald Sims Jr., Elcolby Smith, and Dasha Smith. A loving son, he carried the legacy of his late father, Ronald Sims, and was cherished by his mother, Veda Smith.

Dee was not only a remarkable character but also a vibrant spirit who brought life to every gathering. Known for his impeccable fashion sense, he consistently made a statement wherever he went, stepping out dressed to the nines. Those who knew him would fondly recall his charm as a "lady's man," his intelligence, and his ability to enliven any occasion.

Throughout his educational journey, Dee never ceased to challenge himself. He attained his master's degree from the University of Phoenix and was actively pursuing his doctorate, demonstrating an enduring commitment to personal development and achievement.

His greatest pride resided in his children, his family, and his numerous educational and business accomplishments. Dee touched the lives of many, earning the love and respect of a host of relatives and friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of this incredible man will be held on September 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224.

Mr. D'Ainsley Tennel Smith’s legacy will live on through his family and all those whose lives he enriched with his warmth, guidance, and vibrant spirit. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten.
