DARLENE BROWN, born April 25, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, departed this life on June 1, 2026, in Lewisville, Texas. A cherished soul whose presence was a balm to all who knew her, Darlene’s journey painted a portrait of unwavering faith, boundless kindness, and an enduring love for her family.

A graduate of Doty High School in McKinney, Texas, Darlene dedicated her professional life to the field of Electronics Technology. Yet, it was beyond her career that she truly shone—she was a very sweet person, open-hearted and always ready to extend a helping hand. Her home was a sanctuary where doors were perpetually open, a reflection of her generous spirit. A prayer warrior and a God-fearing woman, she embraced life with a joyful laughter that brightened every room she entered.

Darlene’s soul was deeply nurtured by the Scriptures; reading the Bible was a treasured daily ritual. Her passions included cooking delicious meals, she was a musician, playing the piano with grace, engaging in the challenge of puzzles, indulging in shopping sprees, savoring Lifetime Network, and traveling to new places—each pursuit a testament to her love of life’s vibrant tapestry.

Her proudest accomplishment was her family, the very heart of her existence. She leaves behind a loving son, Pastor Jeffery Brown, and his wife, Shanique; her devoted daughter, Tanya Brown; and two cherished sisters, Norma Bullock and Evelyn Barnes. Her legacy continues in six grandchildren—DeMarcus Brown, Dominique Waites, Ashley Brown, Jasmine Timms, Danielle Timms, and Taterian Timms—and eleven great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched with her nurturing care. Among her extended family are nieces Casondra Oliphant and Jackie Oliphant, Charmaine Virgil, as well as nephews, Allen Barnes Jr.,Jamal Barnes, Andre, Dejuan and Tyshaun Foreman, and a wide circle of relatives and friends whose hearts she touched deeply.

Her journey in this life was marked by love and grace, shadowed by losses she bore with fortitude: her late husband, John Thomas Brown; her brother, Tyrone Foreman; and her beloved niece, Sonya Alley, who preceded her in rest. These souls remain forever entwined in her memory and spirit.
