DARRYL DWAYNE JACKSON JR

April 22, 1996 — January 30, 2026

Darryl Dwayne Jackson, a sparkling soul born on April 22, 1996, in the lively heart of Dallas, Texas, departed this world on January 30, 2026, leaving a trove of memories stitched together by laughter and light. At the tender age of twenty-nine, Darryl's vivacity and rich personality illuminated the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

From his earliest days, Darryl embraced life with the spirit of a kid at heart, a wondrous combination of fun, creativity, and caring deeply for those around him. He was a testament to the adage that one should never meet a stranger, engaging effortlessly with everyone and seeing only the best in them. His infectious sense of humor could transform the mundane into moments of joy, a gift that will be dearly missed by his beloved family and friends.

Educated at Dr. John Horn High School, class of 2014, Darryl balanced his studies with an insatiable curiosity and a passion for math. His creative pursuits included rapping, a dream he cherished and envisioned himself in the limelight.  Listening to music was not merely a pastime; it was woven into the fabric of his being, a channel through which he expressed his artistic essence.

Darryl's dedication extended beyond passion; he was a workaholic in the truest sense, tirelessly striving for success while ensuring he spread happiness wherever he roamed. He was a loving father to his daughter, Asa Parker, who will forever carry his spark within her journey. The tapestry of his life is also adorned by siblings Alexius Mitchell, Shavodka Moore, and Bracey Alexander, as well as the steadfast love of his mother, Cutrice Rena Mitchell, his father, Darryl Jackson, and his cherished grandmother, Leola Watts. Alongside them dwells a host of relatives and friends, all touched by his indelible spirit.

Though Darryl could never remember trash day—a memory that is now inked in the hearts of those who knew him—it is the memories he created, the laughter he abundant shared, and the love he spread so generously that will define his legacy.

His journey will be honored in services that provide a space for remembrance and reflection. There will be a viewing on February 8, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas. This will be followed by a funeral service on February 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM at New Mt Zion MBC in Wilmer.
