Davie Mae Wynn was born in Waco, Texas to the union of David Liggins and Laura Smith. From an early age, Davie Mae carried herself with grace, strength and a quiet determination that would guide her throughout her life.
She received her education in the Dallas Independent School District and proudly graduated from James Madison High School, class of 1960. Committed to life long learning, Davie Mae continued her education at El Centro Community College where she earned an Associate Degree in Business Management/Data Processes. Her education laid the foundation for a long and successful career in property management, from which she eventually retired from after years of service.
Davie was a faithful and loyal member of New Greater Memorial Family Church, Pastor Austin Kelly, where she served lovingly on the kitchen committee. Her service reflected her generous spirit and her joy in caring for others, especially within her church family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and her sister, Mrs. Doris Phillips.
Davie Mae was united in matrimony to Mr. Earthem Wynn in 1965. The marriage later concluded
She leaves to mourn her passing her devoted daughter, Deborah Wynn Woodards; her treasured granddaughter, Ms. Brianna Woodards; and her bonus son, Archie Ray Box; sister, Evelyn Carter of Ft. Worth, TX; along with a host of extended family and dear friends.
Davie M. Wynn will be remembered for her kindness, faith and unwavering love for her family. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
