Debra Michelle Latigue, 57, was born on August 8, 1968, to Aaron Latigue, Sr. And Jerry (Ardoin) Latigue in Lake Charles, LA.

Debra lived most of her life in Lake Charles, LA before moving to Forth Worth, TX. Debra was baptized at an early age at Zion Travelers Baptist Church and visited New Faith B.C. whenever she was home to visit. Debra was known by her nieces and nephews as “Nanny”. She loved spending time with her family; especially holidays and birthday parties. And she loved cooking her lasagna and other meals. And recently, she enjoyed taking train rides through the park.

Debra was a graduate of Washington Marion Magnet High School in 1986. She was also a member of the Marching Jukebox and National Honor Society. After high school, she attended Delta School of Business where she graduated with an associate in Accounting.

On April 28, 2026, Debra was called to her heavenly home surrounded by loved ones.

Cherishing Debra’s memory is her daughter’s Shamekia (Craig) and Meshala (Larry) Latigue of Crowley, TX. Her son Jalen (Michela) Latigue, Sr. of Houston, TX and companion Johnny Taylor (St. Louis) of Crowley, TX. Her mother Jerry Jean Latigue of Lake Charles, LA, her brothers Pastor Nelton (Betty) Latigue, Sr., of Lake Charles, LA. Marshal (Elaine) Gordon of Houston, TX., Mervin Latigue of Lake Charles, LA., and Kenneth Latigue of Kansas City, MO. Sisters Vickie (David) Alexander of Lake Charles, LA and Daphne Latigue of Norfolk, VA. Grandchildren Ja’mya, Traylon, and Makayla Davis, Jalen Jr., Kane, Zoran, Champ, Bakari and great grandson

Kaiser. Uncles Martin (Ogea) Latigue and Morris (Charlene) Vallaire. Debra also leaves a host of relatives, nieces, nephews, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Latigue, Sr. Brothers Nelson Latigue, Sr. And Aaron Latigue, Jr. Grandparents Joseph and Alice (Stevens) Latigue and Morris and Ida (Sam) Vallaire.
