DOLETTA PIPKINS

January 8, 1922 — January 13, 2021

MRS. DOLETTA PIPKINS was born in Garrison, Texas on January 8, 1922 to the parents of Wilbert Hodge and Minnie Maxie Hodge. She attended Butler College in Tyler, Texas and taught first grade for several years after graduating. She was a Loving, God fearing, Strong woman and a very Faithful member of Sunshine Presbyterian Church in Fort Worth Texas. She taught Sunday school and was an Elder of the church until her health began to decline. She married the love of her life Mr. Arthur Lee Pipkins (WWII Veteran) on December 8, 1949. They were married 72 blessed years! She is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Arthur Lee Pipkins, sisters Calene Tucker, Odessa Brown, Levell Hunter, Rosa Lee Birdsong, Geraldine Hodge, and one brother M.T. Hodge. She’s survived by two daughters, Shirley Green (W.C. Green) of Grand Prairie, Texas, Beverly Pipkins (Roy Latimer) of Fort Worth Texas, and one sister Clemeteen Page of Nacogdoches, Texas. Six grandchildren, Kelvin Green, Sharon West, Doletta Inez Prowell (Michael Prowell), SGM(R) Ritchey V. Green, Carla Cage, and Keith Green. Eight great grandchildren, Five great, great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
