DOLLY DIMPLE NEEDUM, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, gracefully departed this world on March 3, 2026, at her home in Red Oak, Texas. Born on January 25, 1950, in Ore City, Texas, Dolly's life was a radiant tapestry woven with love, laughter and nurturing warmth. She blossomed from her early years at Ore City High School into a cornerstone of her family and community, leaving a profound impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
Dolly was the epitome of a loving, giving, and caring spirit, whose wit and humor could light up even the darkest days. She embraced life with an infectious joy, and her favorite pastimes reflected her vibrant nature. Whether it was cooking for special occasions and holidays, dancing to the sounds of her beloved Johnny Taylor and the Supremes, or engaging in spirited card games, every moment spent with Dolly was imbued with laughter and affection.
Her pride in her family knew no bounds. As a devoted mother to her son, Willie Cobbin, and a cherished grandmother to Jada, Shamarón, Treylon, Nazelle, Janelle, Zeke, and Kayla, Dolly's life was defined by the joy and love she brought to her family. She was blessed with a host of great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless happiness. Her role as a mother and grandmother was not just a title, but rather her proudest accomplishment, alongside her achievement of being a homeowner—a testament to her perseverance and dedication.
Dolly's love extended beyond her immediate family. She is survived by her son-in-law, Johnny Bailey, and her brothers, James Cobbin (Marilyn), Curtis Cobbin (Cammie), and Steven Cobbin. In her death, she reunites with her beloved husband, Willie Needum, her cherished daughter, Sharon Bailey, her parents, and four sisters and two brothers, leaving behind fond memories and an indelible legacy of family love.
As we gather to celebrate Dolly's remarkable life, her spirit will be honored with a loving viewing on March 11, 2026, at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, followed by a Wake Service that will commence at 7:15 PM. The solemn Funeral Service will take place on March 12, 2026, at the same location at 1:00 PM.
In every dish she cooked, every card she played, and every laugh she shared, Dolly Dimple Needham has etched her joyous presence into the hearts of those she loved. Though she may have departed from this earthly realm, her spirit will forever dance in our memories, and her love will continue to envelop her family like the warmest embrace.
