Don Eugene Jones was born May 3, 1950, in Diana, TX. He fell asleep in death at his home in Dallas, TX, on December 19, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Uqghardt and Dee Esther Jones. Don was raised with a strong sense of family, hard work, and perseverance. He was also raised to have a strong belief in God and his word, the Bible.
Don was educated in Dallas, TX. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and later attended El Centro College, where he earned his Associate's Degree in Arts and Science. He later joined the United States Army and honorably served until May 2nd, 1972.
Following his military service, Don worked for Western Electric, AT&T, American National Insurance Company, and Dallas Independent School District, where he retired.
A defining moment in Don’s life came when he began to study the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses. Because he was raised to have a greater appreciation for God's word, he wanted to learn more. After about a year of studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses, he decided to dedicate his life to Jehovah, and on June 25th, 1988, he was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
From that day forward, he faithfully served Jehovah as part of his organization. Don loved his door-to-door ministry. As a dedicated baptized minister of Jehovah, he found great joy, satisfaction, and contentment in helping others come to know Jehovah and his wonderful promises for the future.
Don’s leaves behind his devoted wife of 40 years, Evelyn Jones, whose companionship and support were the foundation of his life. He is also survived by his three daughters: Dekeesha Prather, Naomia Medlock, and Shalisa Medlock, who will forever cherish his guidance, humor, and unwavering love.
His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Kamron, Liyah, London, Kristen, Keshona, and Kenecia, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
Don is survived by his brother, Roger Crowe (Valencia); his sisters, Wanda Jones, Linda Linscomb, Amy Coleman and Willie Pearl (Mack). He also leaves behind 5 great-grandchildren, a large circle of cousins, relatives, and friends who will remember his kindness, gentle spirit, and quiet strength.
Don Jones lived a life marked by faith, service, and love. His presence will be deeply missed, but we know he will live on in Jehovah's memory.
