From his first days among the sunlit streets of Dallas, Donald became rooted in a community that would know his steady kindness and unassuming strength for nearly eight decades. He was a son of this city in the truest sense—shaped by its vibrant neighborhoods, its ever-changing rhythms, and the bonds woven through generations of families, friends, and neighbors.

To honor this remarkable man, a wake will be held on July 15, 2026, from 7:15 PM to 8:15 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. Friends old and new are invited to gather, reflect, and remember the countless ways Donald touched their lives. The celebration of his life and legacy will continue during a funeral service at Church of The Living God, 2610 East Ledbetter Drive, Dallas, TX 75216, on July 16, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
