DONNELL CARTER

May 25, 1952 — May 12, 2024

Obituary:

In loving memory of Donnell Carter, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, brother, and. Donnell was born on May 25, 1952, in Lubbock, Texas, to Luther and Maggie Ruth Carter as the seventh child of the family. He was a beloved husband Loretta Lane-Carter and a proud father of three sons: David Donnell Jr., and Ryan Taylor Carter, as well as two daughters: Tonya and LaSonya Carter.

Donnell's life was enriched by the presence his seven brothers. While Luther Clarence Carter, David Carter Sr., Mickey Lynn Carter, and Jerry Wayne Carter have preceded him in death, he is survived by his brothers Robert Calvin and Ralph Carter. Additionally, his youngest sister Janice M. Carter remains as his only surviving sister.

With a heart full of love and wisdom, Donnell leaves behind a legacy carried on by his beautiful grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will always hold him dear in their hearts.

On May 12, 2024, Donnell peacefully made his transition to his Heavenly home surrounded by love and memories that will forever be cherished by those who were blessed to know him. Though he may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of sharing in his life.

As we mourn the loss of Donnell from this earthly realm, we take solace in knowing that he now rests in the loving arms of Jesus. His kindness and warmth will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Farewell for now until we meet again someday.

Rest in eternal peace, dear Donnell - your memory will forever be a beacon of light for those whose lives you have touched.
