Born on July 20, 1924, in Pittsburgh,Tx,  DOZIE lived through a remarkable century, witnessing the unfolding of history and leaving an imprint on all who knew her.

DOZIE CHERRY SPENCER’s journey began in the vibrant city of Pittsburgh, Tx, where her early years were shaped by the values of resilience, kindness, and integrity that would be hallmarks throughout her life. Over the course of 102 years, DOZIE saw the world change in ways few ever experience and met each transition with strength and grace.

Relocating later to Dallas, Tx, then Irving, Texas, DOZIE spent her final years in a city she cherished, surrounded by friends and community. Across decades, DOZIE built a legacy defined by dignity, warmth, and steadfast principles. While many who knew DOZIE recall stories of perseverance and compassion, what stands above all is the quiet strength and humble kindness she extended unceasingly.

As we reflect on the extraordinary lifespan of DOZIE CHERRY SPENCER, we honor not only the breadth of years but also the depth of character. Every milestone achieved and every relationship fostered has left an enduring legacy in the hearts of those who crossed her path.

A visitation for DOZIE CHERRY SPENCER will be held on August 4, 2026, from 1:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to gather, share memories, and pay their respects.

A funeral service will take place at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, TX 75211, on August 5, 2026, at 11:00 AM. Following the service, a burial will follow at the DFW National Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
