EARL D HORN

Earl Dean Horn also known as "Oscar" was born on September 22, 1953, in Jacksonville, Texas to the parentage of Dock and Georgia Mae Crawford - Horn.

Earl attended Robert E. Lee High School in Tyler, TX. He would go on to spend much of his life in East Texas between Bullard and Tyler before relocating to Dallas in his later years. He was employed with J.P. Lawn Services for several years and would work as an auto detailer when time permitted. In his leisure, Earl would enjoy the great outdoors. He was one of the humblest people you would meet, that is until his most favorite song would play. That song is the classic Hambone. That song and dance (body slap) would become his signature. He would have to perform it at every family event or by request. On March 26th, Earl peacefully departed this life while at home, surrounded by family.

Earl accepted Christ as his personal savior and his faith never wavered.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Siblings: Cathy Horn, Johnny Horn, Jerline Dewberry, Jesse Horn, Pearle McCuin, Herman Horn and Bobby Horn.

He leaves to cherish his memories: Brothers; James (Rosa) Horn of DeSoto, TX, Donnie (Brenda) Horn of Tyler, TX; Sisters; Mary Fry of DeSoto, TX, Mary Horn, Josephine (George) Philips of Dallas, TX, Rena Taylor of Lancaster, TX, Betty Horn of Mesquite, TX and Debra Horn of Sunnyvale, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
