EDWARD JONES

Edward Louis Jones, Jr. (Ed), 71, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2020 in Litchfield, Illinois, doing what he loved, trucking. He was born January 20, 1949 to his loving parents Edward Louis, Sr. and Hattie Lee Jones, in West Columbia, South Carolina. Ed had a larger than life personality. He never met a stranger, and loved his family. He was beloved by many and will be deeply missed. He was a devoted and competent long haul truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Judy Jones Thomas Crum. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Emma Louise Washington Jones, daughters, Juliet Katherine (Roy Williams, Jr.), and Patricia Marie Reaves; son, Edward Louis Jones, III; sisters, Harriett Hitchens (Edward), Helen Vaughn (Richard), Patricia Pierce, and Vivian Jones (Sammy); brothers, John M. Jones (Isabell), and James A Jones (Andrea); eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, adopted sons, daughters, and grandchildren, all of which he loved as his own, and a multitude of lifelong friends.
