PASTOR ELLIS FORD JR

It is with deep respect and solemnity that we honor the life of Pastor Ellis Ford, Jr., who passed away on June 2, 2026. Born on July 17, 1939, in Lewisville, Arkansas, Pastor Ford lived a life marked by dedication and service, touching the hearts of many through his extensive years of commitment both professionally and spiritually.

Pastor Ellis Ford, Jr. began his journey in Arkansas but spent significant chapters of his life in Richmond, California, where he resided for 34 years, followed by another 34 years in Grand Prairie, Texas. His career included distinguished service as a Retired Supervisor at General Motors, A funeral planner for Golden Gate Funeral Home. Roles which he demonstrated leadership and steadfastness.

His spiritual calling led him to become the Assistant Executive Pastor of both locations. Serving as Lead of Pastoral Care at St. John Church Unleashed in Grand Prairie, and Southlake TX. Under the guidance of Sr. Pastor Dr. Denny Davis, Pastor Ford dedicated himself to the nurturing and support of his congregation, embodying the care and compassion that characterized his entire life. His role in the church was a testament to his unwavering faith and his desire to serve others.

Pastor Ford was many things to those who knew him—a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and a cherished friend to many. Renowned for his caring nature, his humor, and loyalty, he was a caregiver at heart, whose presence brought comfort and joy to family and friends alike. He enjoyed traveling and had a love of driving, reflecting a zest for life and exploration.

The community will gather to remember and celebrate Pastor Ford’s remarkable life at wake services held at St. John Church Unleashed, 800 S. Kimball Ave. Southlake, Texas 76092. At 6:30 - 8:00 PM Friday June 12, 2026. Funeral services Saturday June 13,2026. 11 AM  at St. John Church Unleashed located at 1701 West Jefferson Street, Grand Prairie, TX 75051.

Pastor Ellis Ford, Jr.’s legacy is one of devotion, warmth, and heartfelt service. His memory remains a beacon of inspiration, cherished by family, friends, and the many lives he touched during his 86 years. As we honor him, we reflect on a life well-lived and a spirit that will continue to guide and uplift those who had the privilege of knowing him.
