Elma Faye Watson was known for her kind and friendly nature, traits that endeared her to those around her. She was a nurturing presence, having raised not only her own children but also her brothers and sister with great dedication and care. Her strength of character was evident in her stern yet loving guidance, embodying the true essence of motherhood, grandmotherhood, and great-grandmotherhood. Beyond her immediate family, Elma Faye cherished her roles as a sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, each relationship marked by loyalty and affection.
Her faith and commitment extended deeply into her church life. As a devoted member of Bullock Chapel CME, she served with distinction as the missionary president, demonstrating her leadership abilities and her passion for service within her faith community. Her spiritual life was a cornerstone that sustained and inspired her throughout her years.
The family will honor her memory with a viewing on May 28, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas, located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will follow on May 29, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Bullock Chapel CME, 3435 East Overton Road, Dallas, TX 75216
